In the Classroom

"By empowering the kids we teach,
we inspire them to live a life worth living."

WHAT DO WE DO?

Through an open classroom format, the Teen HEART Peer Education Program

  • helps teens understand the physical, mental and emotional consequences of unhealthy decisions.

  • teaches refusal skills to use with confidence when faced with negative peer pressure.

  • demonstrates how relationships built on trust, respect and other core values can
be fulfilling in a person's life.

  • shows how parents and adult mentors can be a great asset in helping youth reach short-term and long-term goals.

WHAT ARE THE STUDENTS IN THE CLASSROOM SAYING?

“Thank you for all of the information that you have given to me. I think it will help me if and when I get into a tough situation.”

"I learned a lot about how illegal drugs can affect you, and what they can do to you."

“You are so inspirational to me and to everyone in the class. This was an amazing experience!”
